Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
What a wonderful statement. First it tells us that all who went before us are witnessing our walk. Then it tells us to keep from sin which I am always anxious to do. Then it says we are in a race. A race suggests a beginning and an end. How many of us has squandered our beginnings? Yet we have this wonderful opportunity to step up our game to do God’s will. We will do it patiently as God gives us His strength. It shows Jesus sitting down next to the Father as a goal for us to be with God at our end.
We walk by faith, not by sight!
I am encouraged as I have lost most of the sight in my left eye. I always heard of Glaucoma but never knew what it was. Now I know. It was perhaps caused by my 2nd Cataract surgery. At least , that’s what it seems. What happens is the optic nerve gets damaged from pressure on the eye. It causes blindness. I was able to get the pressure in check so we are hoping my one good eye will stay that way. God is not surprized and He will carry me to the finish line.
In the meantime, I had to give up driving and my car. I could not let my wife or daughter drive it as it was a disaster waiting to happen.
So I need to buy a car for them to drive me back and forth to Church.
We need $2,000 down put praise God, that’s all as The U.S. is giving $250 if you have a child. That would make the payments.
We just got the first $25 in and so if you are led, please donate:
