What is Truth?

Joh 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Joh 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

In the world we have many beliefs, religions, cults, Sects and denominations.
Sometime it is very difficult to know what is truth and what has been made up.

Pilate knew something was up with Jesus but he could not tell for sure.

Jesus, told everyone in this passage, how we can know the truth when He said:Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

It is pretty simple. In Christianity, we also go to the source. Our source is the word of God

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The Holy Spirit guides you in all truth. You feel that truth yet if you allow a lie to be taught to you over and over, you will accept that lie. Believe the truth that you first received.

It did not mean you never needed a teacher but this was for those who would seduce you from the truth:

If you work somewhere and an employee tells you, “Oh, it’s a holiday tomorrow” but you did not hear that before, what should you do?

Go to the source. The source is the first place truth will come from. In other words, go to the boss.

1Jn 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

I have seen in so many places, Pastors, who have taught for years, who have large Churches, turn to the reformed theology.

Let me ask you, what were they teaching before? A lie? Why should people follow them now? Because they say they have the truth???

So many have been seduced because they want preeminence. They want to teach a new thing, The old Gospel isn’t appealing to them anymore.

Jude admonishes that we (Jude 1:3″)…earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

To seriously fight/defend the faith. Which faith? The one that was ONCE delivered unto the saints.

The one the Apostles shared. The one that brought us to salvation.

Should we now say that God chose us with His eyes closed for salvation and others for damnation??? Of course not. That is a different Gospel. Let those who preach it be accursed.

Jude 1:4
Jud 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is like sleeper cells. Have you heard of them? The Terrorists move to a neighborhood and stay there for years. There goal is to get everyone to trust them and then they blow something up.

The Bible says this is what it is. These people may look good, have large Churches, well recognized in the community of believers and at a certain time they will blow it all up–Introduce the lie.
They were pre ordained to this condemnation.

Oh we see it today so nice and clear. Pastors who stole millions from their congregations or corrupted the morals of young women, Pastors who offered up entire congregations to Satan. Pastors who were pre ordained for this condemnation.

Who are you following?

As your Pastor I love you but it is your obligation to study yourself, becoming approved by the Lord.

Too many Pastors have gone to colleges that have taught them philosophy and psychology and various religious wrongs. So many come out of school wanting to espouse a new thought or a new idea. They think they are scientists trying to find the cure for cancer. Let me tell you something folks, Christianity needs no cure— it is the cure!

Those who try to change it are imposters, they are no friend of God and are of no use to God’s people. Throw them out.

It is not within my power to say who is and is not saved but listen to this:

Jud 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Perhaps many believed they were saved. Many looked like they were saved and acted as if they were saved but when it came down to it, they really were not saved and God destroyed them and will destroy those unbelievers among us.

The true man and woman of God seeks to please Him in all that they do. They seek to understand His will. They love His laws and love to obey them. Their lives depend on God to survive. Without Him there is no hope.
