1 Corinthians 9:19-23 King James Version (KJV)
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
These verses particularly describe our ministry here in Payatas. We have become all things to all people to perhaps, save some.
We have over 50 musicians and every child is educated in our Church. We feed and also clothe our poor.
The one area that we did not too much in was housing. We have a family who for 15 years lived in very meager conditions. Please click to see how they live. They have been coming to our Church for four years and it pained me to see how they lived.
We have a piece of property which is part of my wife’s family compound and so we prayed and started building a 2 story house. Her mother is a senior citizen and will be in the one bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Sherylyn is a single mom through sad occurences. She has 6 children and will inhabit the upstairs apartment with three bedrooms
Now we appeal to you. We already have the first floor built with a cement ceiling and today we begin the top floor.
Salaries are about $350 per week. That is for 5 workers. We have about 6 more weeks to go and so we need about $2,100 for the rest of the slaries for the project. Once the outside of the building is finished, most of the finishing work will be done by our Church members.

We have had some generous people who donated from $20 to $1000.
Some have donated more than once. God knows what they have done and each act of selflessness is recorded in God’s record. We love their good hearts.
We have enough material to finish the shell. We might need more cement and rebar for the roof.
Then we will need about $2,000 or less for floors, bathrooms, kitchens, doors and windows. That is not a typo, everything is cheaper here. All those things our Church can do to finish the entire house will be less than $5,000 and maybe closer to $4,000.
Will you help?
Every single donation brings us closer to giving some needy people a safe home. We show the love of Christ in every effort we make to help the poor. People see what we do and we give God the glory. They see Christ in us.
Will they see Christ in you?
