Becoming New
I believe this trip to America was certainly in the will of God. I was able to share the Gospel in and out of the hospital. Encourage other patients, help to heal other problems.
I also have had my health slowly restored.
Before my operation, I was weak and tired all the time. I thought, oh well, that’s the price of becoming old. However, I have found that I am gaining a new strength. My breathing is better, and I am walking more (and liking it). Before, if I was asked to go for a walk, I would say no. I had no strength to do it.
Also, I am doing exercises for neuropathy in my feet. It seems nerves generally do not revive, but nerves in the feet can be rejuvenated, so I am hoping, in Christ, to get new feet!
I believe God is renewing my strength and desire to serve even more.

Plans are made to leave
I wanted to go back home early, so I made a fleece to God. If the doctor said I could go, then I would go. However, to my severe annoyance, the doctor said I needed to stay the full three months.
Anyway, I bought the tickets and we leave on August 11th.
I am going through severe culture shock as far as expenses are concerned. $100 to fill up the gas take. Thanks Governor Newsome! You need a loan to buy a hamburger. I realize people make more money here but it is not a place for visiting missionaries. Thanks to some good friends who took us out, we were able to enjoy some extras. We go out to dinner about 2–4 times every year back in the Philippines.
I have to be careful with my sugar/carb intake as I am having food I haven’t had for years. Winershnitzel,Popeyes,Arbys are some of them. Bagels! Oh! how I love bagels. Cherries! I could go on and on.

The Church
I was worried about leaving the church alone but my nephew, Nick, stepped up to the plate and performed all the services with Jorick taking on the Bible studies. With a few exceptions, the Church is running like clockwork. Thanks to Jessa, the business end is being taken care of. And so no one will get insulted. If you are doing well, you don’t need my praise. God is holding it for you in heaven!

School
VBS went off without a hitch.The children had a great time and, more importantly, learned about Jesus. Also, we have a dozen new kids who decided they like it at PBC and they come back every week. Pray for them to find and to serve Christ.
School Supplies Thanks to some generous supporters,
we were able to purchase all the school supplies and then some for next year. For some, it’s a matter of attending school or not if you don’t have the equipment that you need.

Education June started the new school year as we watched all our kids moving up.
We will have one new college student and more for next year.
Laura is Magna Cum Laude (She would have been Zuma, but she has a full-time ministry at church as well as she teaches music to individual students in the Philippines as well as online to students in America. Out of all the universities, she and two other girls are up for awards. She is up for three.
Linda has started her 2nd year at Bob Jones Memorial Bible College. She is doing great in school as well as heading up the youth group as well as using her talents for marketing the ministry. She and Kisha conduct the children’s choir and musicians. She is looking forward to attending culinary school soon.
Malou continues to inform you all with her many posts and videos. She also volunteers at a food pantry here in California. She is like the energizer bunny. She keeps going and going! I don’t know what I would do without her.
