What do you think of when you think of April? 

Flowers, Walks in the park, Sweet smells…

Perhaps window shopping. Baseball games.

Kids playing in the streets, birds singing.



 This is what it looks like here. Although our PBC Kids look a lot different. Oh, they live in the same environment, we have no pretty flowers. The smells? Welllll! And once in a while you will see a bird but he’s not singing.
the difference with PBC Kids is they are happy. They are getting a education and have incentives to do great. All this ibecause of many of you. You decided that these kids need to hear the good news of the Gospel and you tell them by your donations which help to feed, educate and to elevate them. Now, because we started doing this 19 years ago, we have about 9 young people in college and more about to join that system. All of our kids go door knocking each week spreading the good news that saved them and gave them some peace. So thank you to all of you who have prayed and shared your resources with us.

How are your gas prices? Yeah, here too. Not only gas but everything has gone up and it is hard to keep up with it. Just when you think you have enough for Burger king this week, it becomes a fleeting dream.Keep praying, Things will get better for all of us.

Our friends from California came to the Philippines for two weeks and made time for us. We are honored. They also took us out to dinner. We had a good time of fellowship.
 

Education
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters we registered a couple of students for their semester at college and also helped others.
We continue to give the younger ones, Jollibee and Kenny Rogers according to their accomplishments.
Our Kisha Rubinos graduated with her Associates degree in Music and Ministry and is planning on missionary work in the province. (God’s work marches on)
Jessa will graduate August 4th as a Mathematician 
Rosalyn will graduate  in July as a Mechanical Engineer

VBS


Our 19th annual VBS will be held on April 20-25 8am to 11am
this is a time that we invite 100 children to attend six days of fun and Christian education where they will have the opportunity to find out about Jesus. Some will choose to continue to attend Church as some before them have done and are now graduating college!
We need $300 for VBS this year so if you care to help

   modest two‑story home. Within these walls, countless meals have been shared, lessons taught, and prayers lifted. But the needs of the community have grown far beyond what this little house can hold.
Now, we dream of something greater: a safe compound with a school, a church, and a medical clinic—



a place where children can learn, families can worship, and neighbors can receive care. A place of hope, safety, and transformation.

I can tell you plenty about what your giving means and does for this ministry and the Payatas kids. However, you might be interested in what it does for you.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35
When you give it makes you feel great. that’s just the way we are made. To feel good for doing good. Also, when you give it let’s you appreciate that you are able to give while your recipient is not in that position.

 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over…” – Luke 6:38

 “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” – Proverbs 11:25
 

The question is, will you have a Happy New Year? If you are not a Christian, may I suggest you go here and seek out God?
If you are a Christian, are you faithful? Do you attend Church whenever it is open? Do you serve in the ministry of the Church ? Do you support the Church? Do you share the Gospel as God draws you to do so? Remember, a faithful Christian is a Happy Christian!

PBC CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR THE KIDS
The kids had a ball. They received the Gospel of Jesus Christ, clothes, toys, prizes, a hot meal and food to take home to the family for a Christmas meal! And, they received all of it because of those generous people who heard the Lord and responded with their giving.
Giving to good causes is one of the things that give you peace and joy!

In almost 19 years I don’t think I ever missed a monthly update and this is only a late one. Why? While we were visiting in Masbate, there was a Typhoon. (Hurricane to those in the states) The power was not only knocked out but the wires, poles and attachments were destroyed. 
Internet was also crippled. Even mobile data was almost not existant. We would get it once in a while for about 10 minutes.
The destruction was massive. Please pray for those affected.

 On top of that we had four Earthquakes, Three were minor but the first one lasted about 1+ minutes and we watched the building move! All in all and interesting time was had by all!
 

All has survived here as we prepare to have our 19th Anniversary celebration next month.
Our theme is “We’re Almost There” This refers to our 20 year goal of educating youth to college and onto prosperous careers all the time keeping the faith that was delivered unto them.
Our Bible verse is Jude 1:3 which tells our people :Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 

Box ministry

We are starting to get boxes that were shipped from the U.S. when we were there. Food, clothes and all sorts of free gifts. It’s like Christmas, opening and giving out these blessings.

Our Educational Ministry

We proudly gave out p100 , two Jolibees and a KennyRogers meal as our students continue to work hard for their education.

Many thanks to all of our Supporters. Especially those whd our College students to pay out the rest of their terms and more for newer students.

Spring Ahead, Fall Into Grace

We often hear the phrase “spring ahead and fall behind.” But fall isn’t failure—it’s a season of reflection, gratitude, and grace.
In the Philippines, fall begins in September with the joyful anticipation of Christmas. Lights go up, hearts turn toward Christ, and we remember the reason for the season: Jesus came to save us, to serve the poor, and to offer hope.
Here in Payatas, fall means the start of school, the stretch of faith, and the hope that we’ll have enough to send our students to college. It’s also a time to celebrate: 19 years of ministry, walking with children and families, sharing the love of Christ, and building a legacy of compassion.

PBC Is Still Making Progress

•     Laura – Magna Cum Laude Graduate
Laura is considering California Baptist University for her Master’s in Music Education, with plans to become a professor. She’s also published her first book, Teaching to Teach, a powerful resource for churches and educators—available now on Amazon. Special thanks to Pastor Bob Sharpe for his guidance.
•     Don – Aircraft Maintenance Graduate
Don has earned his B.S. in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from Citi World College and is now applying to airlines. We’re excited to see where God leads him next. Don also carried out my duties when I was away and we appreciate his dedication to serving God.

Please continue to pray for Laura and Don as they pursue their callings.

A Personal Note from Rev. John
My quintuple bypass surgery was successful, and I’m deeply grateful for your prayers and support. One of the greatest blessings was being surrounded by all my children—two in the U.S. and two in the Philippines. Returning to church and being embraced by our spiritual family was a moment of profound joy.
