Mat_21:14 ” And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them” PBC rejoices when those we share the Gospel with come to know Jesus as Saviour. We have seen it over and over again but what we have not yet seen is the lame walking. After two years of back and forth to the hospitals and clinics and Government agencies, One of our people, Carlito “Lito” Balutol, is finally scheduled for operations on his knees so he will be able to walk again. Praise God! The operation cost about P134,000 and thankfully the Government will pick up the tab, all except p20,000 ($400) which we have to pay ourselves. We received $25 so far. Please pray we will get the rest by this Wednesday. Hopefully, we will be able to post a video of him walking again! School Days!  Laura and Linda are deep into their studies now and doing well. Many thanks to all who helped us get there. Also, our Church kids are all doing great in school. We teach them at Church also so they will have an advantage when they get to school. We teach them, Math, English, Reading, Music notes, Instruments… We especially teach them the Word of God and they are well disciplined in all. Feeding Program-How can we tell our feeding program is doing well? The childr en have all filled out with a bit of weight! The neighbor of one of our mothers said, “Wow, your chilren are getting chubby now.” She said, “I have a store and it’s still not enough.” The mother said, ” because we go to PBC. We learn so much from the Word of God and they feed us every day. The Church is a blessing to us.”Music is the sound of life. Oh how the Jews loved to celebrate with all kinds of instruments. We have new children who started to learn violin, recorders and guitars. I pray one day for an orchestra. Glory to God. Sample We have a new supporter from Florida and they are sending boxes of things that we all need. What a blessing! Additionally, they are putting us on their television ministry which covers eight states. Christmas was the highlight of a great year at PBC! (Some of the PBC Gang)

The Church @ Payatas would like to express our heartfelt thanks for those of you who invested in us through out the year. Not only did we raise the $2000 needed to have the most spectacular Christmas Celebration for 1oo poor kids but we did it in about two weeks. God is awesome! Our Church has grown to Maximum Capacity We all know about the glass that is either half full or half empty This is the story of the Church that is totally full! We still have  very extensive outreach programs. We reach thousands with the Gospel. We have three Pastors that have come out of our Church. We have reached many with our music ministry and we are growing new Christian leaders every day. Christmas Caroling This year we had three different homes video taping our performers. We improve every year and it is not too often do you see carolers who play violins, recorders, guitars and a beat box, flute… It’s a sight to see. Our youth went on three different caroling expeditions. The funds they collected will pay for their outing. They will be going to Noah’s Park (click to take a look) Our Children at their Schools. One of the problems with our Payatas children is having parents who left them or just do not get involved. We spent funds to provide food and gifts for our children’s Christmas parties at school. They are so happy to know we love them and care to be part of every part of their lives. College Life One of our College students has qualified for a scholarship. Praise God! This will free up funds for other students. We thank all of our supporters whether they be one time or some time givers or those who give on a regular basis. God is using you and all the accomplishments are to your credit also.

Don’t let the cold weather freeze your heart! As Christmas approaches thoughts of needing more money fills the heart. Even though most Americans have what they need, they celebrate a day called Black Friday where they go into stores and literally fight each other for bargains. The cold weather brings cold hearts and at a time when we should be thinking about how Christ gave His life for us, we are thinking how we can get more for ourselves. I am in a strange land. There is no wealth here. People beg for food in the area where we work. No one has a car, most don’t have refrigerators. The things you recognize as normal (like 3 meals a day) are many times luxuries to the Payatas Kids. And here I am begging again. I hate begging but I gladly do it for these kids.We used to send the kids to camp every year but donations were so slim that we had to stop it. Now this is the 10th year of giving the kids a real Christmas with Bible stories and a meal w/ dessert and a pair of pants or a skirt, a shirt, foot wear, toys, prizes, contests and a little food to take home to their family so they too will enjoy a Christmas meal together. How many stopped reading already? How many said, “He always asks for money? ” How many slept in a big comfortable bed, ate a great meal, drove in a nice car and can go into your refrigerator anytime you want for a snack? I know God does not call everyone to support this mission but if He did call you and you refuse, that’s another thing. Take a look at this video. It might make you understand my passion that is so deep it has been interpreted as rudeness by those who have come from here and are living well now in America. Click here to see our video Some Updates: DEDICATION Two sets of parents had their children dedicated to the Lord. We spoke about how this was not a blind ritual but an act of prayer to God that these parents are resolved to raise up their kids to Him. Also I asked if the sponsors were there just because they were asked and not because they agree to help with the child’s Christian up bringing, to please sit down. Too many have made dedication a meaningless ritual. Youth Rally Was held at Community Bible Baptist Church and our Church happily attended. There was a great message by Ptr Jessie and all the kids learned from it. A great time of fun, games and Scripture was had by all. Our 10 years Anniversary  Click for pics What a blessed time we had. Ptr Lloyd Abiva preached the service (He is our only Missionary) After we all went for a dinner which was wonderful (and cheap) We had the through the years video and it was fun to see all that God has done in this place. Violins The generous couple up in Maine who already have sent us 5 violins, are sending us two more. God is AWESOME! I remember looking at the cheap violins we had and thought it would be great to have better quality violins and God just made it happen!!! That’s why we are asking you to help bring the Gospel of Christ to the Payatas!
We have a 20 year plan.

We preach the Gospel to the children (adults too but we focus on the children) They start coming to Church where we also make sure they eat, have clothes, get their birth certificates so we can register them for school. (Many have not gone for years) Buy their uniforms, school supplies. We teach them in advance at the Church so when they are being taught in school they are ahead of the class.  Some classes have 80 students and it is impossible for the poor teachers to cover them all so they also appreciate us.
Music: We use music to help them advance. The statistics show, those involved with music are 50 % more likely to graduate college. We have violinists, guitarists, flutists, organists and even have ukulele players! They first learn to read music and then learn an instrument. Once they can play and read two songs, we give them an instrument.
When poor children who have very little see that they can be advanced in education and that they can play
beautiful music they have confidence and they will soar!
Our children are monitored for their development and sincerely love to learn and to do well. Their parents boast that they help around the house and are generally more responsible.
Our first two children (adults now) are graduating college and will go on to advance studies. They look forward of staying with the Church and helping others to grow like they were helped.
That’s the 20 year plan. We look forward to many of these children graduating college in time and giving back to the Church. We are looking forward to be a self-sustaining operation but until then we NEED YOU NOW.

This month we bought clothes for some of our little ones graduating. We had our friends and family Day. We have blessings from Canada of p4000 to help feed the poor. VBS is this month. It is less costly this year because we are using the older kits and our people are trained. So we went from close to $400 to only $200. We received a donation of $100, only $100 more needed.
