DEMONS BEHIND-BLESSINGS AHEAD

DEMONS BEHIND
The ungodly celebration of the dead spirits, demons and all that is evil is almost behind us.
It is not cute little children dressed up as Cowboys or princesses but it is far more sinister.

Most everything about Halloween is about demons, devils, the living dead, witchcraft, etc.
Unfortunately, many Christians take part of it. (I myself did many years ago) However, I yet to see children dressed up as Moses or Joshuah and giving glory to God.
I am glad it is over.

HERE COME THE BLESSINGS

Thanksgiving- Now here is a holiday we can all get behind. Has God been your Lord and Saviour? Has he blessed you as you have followed and obeyed Him?
Has His death on the cross been enough reason to be thankful?
This Thanksgiving, share your meal with someone who has no family. Describe why you are blessed. Share the Gospel with those who lack salvation.

So which one does your energies go into? I pray the latter.

FEED THE POOR

One of our Friends in Canada sent money for us to buy food packs to distribute to the poor of Payatas.We distribute these packs which included rice, dried fish, chicken,vegetables and fruit.
What’s nice is when someone says, “You are just on time. We had no idea what we could eat today.” God is an on time God.

It’s always nice to be appreciated!

What is a BRRRRR Month? I never heard the term before coming to the Philippines but if you came here now you would see the beginning signs of Christmas!

Filipinos start planning and decorating as early as September. To tell you the truth, it is so good to plan ahead. When I start early I can buy gifts in time for Christmas!

We have the Annual Christmas Party for the PBC Children. These kids, who probably won’t have a tree or gifts, can get it at the Church. This is where the planning comes in. We need to raise $2,000 for clothes, toys, food and groceries for the family. If you plan on giving a little at a time, please mark your donation as PBC Kids Christmas. Thank you so much.

Payatas Baptist Church will be holding an annual Christmas Cantata. We start practicing even before September and it is wonderful! We also will go Christmas Caroling. Our neighbors give us donations and it becomes the funds needed for our Annual Christmas Party for adults. Also our youth spend three days caroling and they usually donate some to the Church and some for a trip to the local pool.

We have 7 students enrolled in College-Good colleges and looking for careers not jobs. God is blessing these young people. Laura, Rosalyn, Jessa, Genesis,Shenir, Don and Kyle & Anne Christine who will be taking her board exam next month.

Becoming Men and Women of the Church
When our young people become 16 years old they are considered adults in the Church and are invited to become members. We have had no refusals yet!

We received more boxes of clothes and more school supplies two weeks ago.

If we spent our next sixteen years thanking all of you for your gifts and prayers we still would not have enough time. God bless you all!

		“School Bells Ring and Children Sing it’s back to Robert Hall again”! Do you remember that commercial? It meant we were going to get our school clothes that year. Moms used to sing that to us to kid us that she was finally going to get some rest! Here in the Philippines Moms don’t sing so much because it sometimes is impossible to get school supplies for their kids. Many thanks to our generous suporters who made it possible for over 40 students to get supplies. They send their thanks. Our 20 Year Plan 16 years ago we made a 20 year plan where we would raise children in the Lord while also educating them. Our plan was to bring them from K-College graduates. Good Colleges where they can make their God given dreams. Once graduated they would obtain good, in demand jobs and would be able to support others who were coming up. I am pleased to say we now have 7 enrolled in College. Two are living in our church Apartment with free rent, electric and water. They will pay no rent untill they graduate and possibly turn the Apartment to others coming up. My Linda just was awarded P1,000 and a Kenny Rogers meal as she achieved a 95+ average across the board. For years she has determined to become a chef. She is in the Senior year and then wants to attend the Culinary institute. It costs about $2000 for the course so if you are inclined, send your donations to the Chef Linda fund. Laura in now attending U.P. as a 3rd year Music student The Government just opened in person classes. I am not happy about the kids wearing masks all day. I hope that will end soon. 16 Years	We’ve only just begun!

It was sixteen years ago, on the 21st of July that The Wilson’s landed in Manila. A couple of days later we started a Bible study in Payatas B and then we were asked to take over another study in Payatas A. Only four months after that we rented the building we are in now. We started out with $550 per month. That was to take care of the family and the Church. Our collections were “Barya Lang” as they say. “Small change so God let us pay for it all. My mission Agency was surprized that we were still there as she lost 50% of her clients who left the Philippines for lack of money. I do not understand it but God has seen us through all these years. It was suggested once that I should go back and raise more money but I always felt, if God could not pay for it, how could I. We have accomplished so much for a little Church. We have fed and clothed the community. Taught the children Academicaly and music along with teaching them how to spread the Gospel. About 50 of us do that every Saturday. Our place is full. Someone suggested we get a bigger place. We would be happy to accept what they give us but our finances are limited. Besides, if God wanted it, we would have it. God has used many generous people over the years and we are thankful and pray for you all. God bless!

Education
Our Engineering student has just enrolled for her 3nd year.
Our Mathematics Student and our education student will be enrolling this month.
Four of our other student are enrolled in either free college or their parents are supplying their needs.
Thanks to those generous supporters who have made this possible.
Our program of P100 to the younger ones if they get over a 80 across the board or a Jollibee lunch if over 85 or 90 and up for Kenny Rogers and 95 and up for Kenny Rogers lunch and P1000.
I am blessed to say many have received it. All our students are showing marked improvement over former years.

Marriage or Baptism?

When I witnessed so many Baptisms this month and thought about June weddings I could see a parallel. These participants have decided to be one of the brides of Christ. Their baptism which is the evidence of that internal ceremony.

Another thing we have discovered was those who were baptised, display a stronger desire to study the word of God and participate is a more dedicated way.

Yes, it has been the month of miracles and we praise God for it.

It is so beautiful when our young people submit to the will of God.
We have many young adults that started like this.

Home Visitation

A woman, a sister in Christ in Delaware, USA messaged the Payatas Quezon City Baptist Church and Ministries, Inc. if we could visit her sister that she never knew her situation for 6 years. Her sister is 81 years old, a widow and is been taking care by her grandson (21yo). She is been praying that someone (a church) could visit her one day. She messaged us, two days after she got the address. When she searched on the internet about Payatas, our church popped up. To make a long story short, God answered her prayer through us. We visited her sister and it was a sad situation. The house is stinky and she could not walk anymore because she was injured on her leg bone at the ankle, it was broken and rehealed without medical help.. When we were talking to her. I said to her,” Nanay Carmen, despite of your situation, you still look happy.” But the truth is, after I said that, she was bursting in tears .

Sometimes, someone could hide her/his emotion but inside, she/he is deeply hurting… Despite of this situation, we had the privileg to share the Gospel to her.

Our prayers that we could visit her again and help in someway, by God’s grace.

Only Jesus Christ can save, change and heal if you believe and repent!

As I am writing this, my wife is visiting again. Please pray for Carmen and my wife to impart the Gospel to her.

Food for the Hungry

We have good friends in many places. Two such places are Canada and North Carolina. They supply money for food and such for the poor. Whether we give to various households that are suffering or give as part of our visitation, this generosity shows Jesus Christ in the gift. Many thanks for all who support this ministry as we in turn preach the word to thousands.

EDUCATION PRIZE

Just received P1,000 ($20 u.s.) and a Kenny Rogers lunch for achieving 95 and above in all her grades. Actually there are none lower than 97!
We have so many fine students here at PBC>

Added to my diabetes and my neuropathic feet, I now have a painful cocoox? and a painful shoulder. It cost me $200 for an MRI and an xray. Pray it’s an easy fix. When these things happen it hurts the budget.

Have your May flowers blossomed?

When I think back to my youth, May was the turning point. When we went out to play the first thing I did was to remove the jacket Mom made me wear. I would see the Daffodils, Crocus’ and Hibiscus blooming. The smell of spring was in the air.
We have been “watering” our flowers (kids) here. It has been a long winter with lock-downs and no school, but we still survived, praise God. We were able to teach them and feed them and instill in them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and now, they are blossoming.We had our first VBS that we have had in two years. Pr ices are outrageous!

Not only is gas out of hand, but our food prices are very high. My medicine is about $200 a month. When the income stays the same the outcome is not too good. We can use more supporters.
With that said, we thank God for those supporters in the U.S., Canada and Australia who have given us funds and FOOD PACKS that we were able to distribute in our local area. God bless you all.

VISITORS

One of our supporters visited with us. She came with her husband, niece and the niece’s husband who is a Pastor in Cavite. He had a stroke but is still running his Church. Take a minute please and pray for Pastor Jun’s complete recovery.

Sister Evangeline and her group was such a blessing to meet with. So enjoyable to see someone from back home.

Schools are opening Face to Face Monday and Tuesday, so our people are now teaching Wednesday to Friday.
They are still getting two meals per day.

Door Knocking and Visitation is in high gear as 0ver 50 people go into the community to spread the word!

Salvation & Baptism

We rejoice as two more people have repented & accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour. They have been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost! Praise the Lord.

SORRY I’M LATE

I believe this is the first time in fifteen years I was late with the Newsletter. It was also the first time I had a real vacation. It wasn’t much. Just sitting around looking at the ocean’s waves and enjoying the rest. However, it was good to sit back and relax for a change.
During the time I was gone, I had a preacher come in and do the services. He was a big help. It is good to know that you can depend on someone.
Also, my people themselves are very capable of making sure all goes smoothly.
We had been restrained from door knocking for a while but they were able to do that as well as continue the school lessons with the kids.
I was happy to return to my Church.

We also received money from three different supporters so we could buy food for the poor. It was such a blessing to see what was done and the people see Jesus in all that we do. Many thanks to our supporters.

Pastor Ben and his family went with us and we both preached at our missionary Church. Liberty Bible Baptist Mission.

It is very hot in my office. The aircon is on the Fritz so I will cut this short. Talk to you soon.

What is Success?

Success is many things to many people. Cars, houses, boats, large bank accounts, impressive careers…
The Bible says we have two main goals: Luk_10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
I saw a commercial which asked -At the end will you be sorry for the things you did not buy or,the places you did not go?
Really? Mine would be, I wish I would have done more to serve God and man.

DOOR KNOCKING Our Church was out of sorts when door knocking stopped. We snuck in different ways to share the Gospel but the joy we had by going out en masse was not there. Now we are back stronger than ever. We have broken down into groups with 1 or 2 adults leading each group, then teens and finally the littlest ones. Everyone shares. Door knocking has caused some of our littlest ones to ask, “How can I get saved”? What a joy for all of us. Pray for the children as we share with them.

MUSIC

Music is the backbone for all they learn at PBC. Accomplishing an instrument or succeeding in the choir causes them to excel at Biblical knowledge as well as door knocking skills. It also helps their success in Education.

We gave out Two Violins and Three Guitars to new students, last week. Because of our mentoring program of musicians tutoring newbies our musical talent keeps growing and the success of the church is multiplied!

FEEDING PROGRAM

Once again we gratefully extend thanks to our supporters who have donated one time amounts or every month. Thanks also to those who send boxes. Also,Those who give money so we can buy food.

We were able to feed many as well as giving out boxes of clothes at the covered court.

So many families have been helped through your generosity.

EDUCATIONAL MINISTRY

We have a education rewards program. We motivate students to have great grades.
5 Students received p100 ($2 u.s) 4 sudents received a Jollibee lunch and 3 students recived a Kenny Rogers lunch.
Many more students are now working hard to obtain their goals! 4 College students are being enrolled for their 2nd semester.
Online module classes. The teachers are working hard to teach and to feed the students. They receive 2 meals per day. This also takes the stress off their parents.

Cancel Culture Hits PBC!

What is cancel culture? In a nutshell, when Conservatives are found to be so, Liberals do whatever is in there power to destroy them. It is not Christian it is Political.

If someone would talk to you about Ebola or the Spanish flu would you assume they hated Africans and Spanish people? Of course not. What if they mentioned the China virus? That’s what happened to me. I make a practice to call it the china virus because it was created and distributed by the CCP. Not the Chinese people but by their Communist Government.The same Government that enslaves people and tears down Churches but there was a Church that was supporting us, that accused me of hating Chinese people. My wife and two daughters are part Chinese so I don’t see that would even be possible.
Then they said unless I would give them a formal apology, they would stop my $110 per month donation to the ministry. Do not believe for a minute this was Christian. If it was Christian they would have asked me what I meant by that but they did not. With all the love they had to give they tried to pressure me to cave to the left. They also accused me of not telling them that I got a car. I will speak about that below. They said that they might have given me a down payment even though I already had a car. BTW, we posted it the day we got it. So they were accusing me of collecting under false pretenses and being a racist. Then they wanted to know why I had a FB account under the name Charlie Brown. I assume they are on the left side of FB to ask that question but most people who know us, know we are Conservative so if we posted about masks not working or Ivermectin being good, FB would drop me which they did. So I took Charlie Brown to be able to contact my friends. We have plenty of FB sites and Websites for our Ministry and all are posted on my emails. The Church used to be Conservative but has been noticeably liberal over the last couple of years. Of course I believe God supplies our needs and would never agree to leftist demands.Watch your Churches. If you take on a Pastor with a nice smile he may be able to slowly swing you left. By the way, My President, Donald Trump also referred to it as the Chinese Virus. Satan wants to destroy but our God is more powerful.

Friends & Family Day

On February 6th we had our yearly Friends and Family day. Unfortunately we could not invite outsiders because of the pandemic. We did have a great time of Worship, Food and fun. We also spen’t time reminiscing about years gone by. Our musicians played and our Choir sang. A great time was had by all.

EDUCATION
Two of our young ladies , Laura & Shenir were treated to Kenny Rogers as they had report cards with scores 95-100
One young man, and our newest preacher, received JolliBee as he got 85 and above.
Others are waiting on their grades.

We are still providing moduler classes and two meals per day for our students.

We Finally got our car!

On Feb 11, after 15 years of waiting, we finally bought our car. With donations from some generous people and a interest free loan we have a 2016 Toyota Avanza.
There have been no donations after that date. All donations for the car, went to the car. BTW, we owe P500,00 ($10,000 U.S.) if anyone wants to help.

New Year, Same Dreams, Same Lord

As I look forward to this New Year it has caused me first to look behind. I remember getting on the plane with my family only to arrive at Manila which was totally different from what I knew. I told God that I had no idea what I was doing but if He would tell me what to do, I would obey. It is that obedience that has made this ministry successful . I remember being told that we needed more money and I should go back to the States to raise more. God put it in my heart that if I had to go back, it would mean God could not take care of His ministry. We have never been rich but we have always been successful.

PBC as a Classroom. When the Government can’t do it, God can!

The Ladies had their monthly women’s fellowship today. Some of the children that attend our school had their mothers come. With tears they expressed their thanks for our attention to their children. Even when the schools shut down home schooling, we stayed open. Our kids excel!

Laura Wilson and Shenir Quezada have earned Kenny Rogers as Laura has 1.25 to 1.0 and Shenir got high nineties.

England, Ireland , Findland, Spain and others are stopping the Vax Mandates. From the beginning we have not trusted the vax. It is said that more people got the china Virus after they had the vax. Sports figures were dropping on the field. People with heart problems or being crippled. Pregnand women losing their babies. Lies and deceit being uncovered. Some people say oh, that’s not everyone but a small minority. Well, I won’t take a chance with my children or myself. History will prove out this nightmare as being wrong for everyone. I pray you are all safe.

Please pray for our car fund. We were turned down by the bank. They said that money coming in by donations are not stable even though our donations have slowly increased every year for fifteen years and all our bills are usually paid the same day as we get them. Sounds like they discriminate against missionaries. We only have about $1,200 bcause Pay pal takes out fees for donations. The bank said they wanted 50% down to finance us. We are now waiting on another bank.

Many people here are still out of work and low on food. Thank God for those who donated for that cause. You helped a great deal of people.

We apppreciate your prayers and donations and your thoughts towards our mission. We pray your lives are blessed as you have blessed us.
