To all our friends and supporters,

Christmas is coming and many will be scurrying to buy presents and trees and decorations and of course the festive turkey or ham will be the main attraction at the grand feast.

Here in Payatas we wish you well in all your festivities and pray that God continues to bless you from the depth of His supplies.

Some have asked us about our needs here at Payatas as so if you are so inclined to remember us here the following is a list of things we could use.

In the month of September we received a total of $310 support. October brought $705 and November $1,035. Even these figures do not reflect all of our supporters as it was because of the generous extra contributions of one of our supporters that we had even those amounts.

With this we needed to feed and support our own family as well as take care of the expenses of running the Church.

Some would say, God will supply, to that I answer, Yes He will and He will use people to do it. The question is, will you be the one He uses?

The children ( at church ) have been sitting on the bare floor all year and we would like to get the floor covered in linoleum.

Cost: $40.00

We need to make a small door to keep the babies from running near the top of the stairs.

Cost: $6.00 – PROJECT COMPLETED

As Malou was returning home from a VBS training seminar, someone reached into the Jeepney and stole her cell phone right out of her hand. We need to replace it.

Cost: $50

We still need chairs. We need at least 30 small ones for the children and 30 large for the adults.

Cost: $130.00

Our Children can use some clothes as they are growing and they still have what they had in California except for some shoes that we bought.

Cost: ??

We have not had a camera since ours was stolen in California . Sometimes we are able to borrow one but many times we miss photo opportunities.

Cost: ???

We would love to put an epoxy coating on the bare floor in our sanctuary. It is a 3 day process and it comes in beautiful colors.

Cost: $140.00

Larger gifts:

Malou is still doing the laundry like your grandmother’s did. By hand and scrub board! A nice washing machine is needed.

Cost: $500

If we could find a turkey here we could not cook it because we don’t own an oven.

Cost: $500

Finally, We can use an automobile. That would reduce the chance of getting mugged for phones or whatever else the bad guys have in mind. It would help us to transport our weak and elderly to Church and it is great for moving things back and forth.

Cost: $4,000.00

This is our Christmas wish list. There are some of you out there that have been very generous. As this email goes out to a list of people, please don’t feel that we don’t appreciate what you have done. You are so appreciated.

Merry Christmas!
Pastor Jack, Sister Malou, Laura and Linda
And all at PBC

By His Grace,

One day I went to Church and found a cat, (just slightly more than a kitten) on our doorstep.

It looked sad and hungry so I bought a can of tuna and it started a close relationship between him and I.

Everyday I would come to Church and he would wait for me and I would bring him in and feed him. Even after he was full, he would rub against my legs to show his appreciation.

Today I came and he was not there. The guard said he found him dead. It broke my heart.

Wherever you believe animals go when they die, I know he is not in any pain. The pain now belongs to me.

God has shown me that if we can be saddened by the death of a pet, (by the way, I couldn’t even pet him as I am severely allergic) how much more should our compassion be for the lost.

There have been many ‘saved’ through our ministry only to disappear without a trace and it saddens me that I don’t know where and how they are.

I am also reminded that even though our first priority is to preach the Gospel, if we don’t help those in their need, we will never be able to show them that we really love them and never have that bond.

October, as has been all our months, has been a busy one. We had our second men’s fellowship which increased from last month (6 people) to twenty five in attendance. A great time of fellowship was had by all as well as reinforcing the fact that we can do nothing without Him.

The ladies also had another good fellowship meeting but hey, you expect it from the ladies!

We had volunteers paint the lower portion of the downstairs walls, the bathroom and make a drop down table in preparation for our Anniversary celebration this Sunday, Nov. 4th, 2007.

This is the one year anniversary of our ‘legal’ incorporation of our Church.

We wanted to give out commemorative mugs. It was 2,500 pesos for 50. We made a down payment of 1000p but on Sunday we still did not have the other 1,500p ($30 u.s.) God sent a lady from the first Filipino Baptist Church in Bayonne to visit us and she provided the money we needed for our mugs.

We prayed for someone (qualified) to take over the Children’s Sunday school and one of the members of our Church is a former principal of a Christian school. She took the challenge and our Sunday school is growing again! Praise God!

We gave out 500 tracts last Saturday as our focus on spreading the Gospel widens. We are also spending time following up those who came to the medical mission we had last July. We have about 300+ leads and we are systematically going through each one.

I was honored to be the closing speaker at the San Mateo Bible Baptist Church’s first world mission’s conference. There were many decisions for Christian service. Two of our children went forward to attend Bible College and one of our men went forward to become a Pastor. God is doing a work here that won’t stop.

I have finished updating our Church video presentation. I call it the year in review. It has all the things that God has done since we arrived. I found out that a friend of mine knows how to turn it from a PowerPoint to a flash presentation and also put music to it and just make it more viewer friendly, so he is doing that now. I will hopefully, be able to send out copies to everyone with the next newsletter.

Our Church just sent a delegation to have VBS training again this year and we received approximately $350 worth of materials for free. This year we are getting about a eight month jump on VBS so it can be more exciting and effective than last year. (If that is possible)

On the home front, Malou had her cell phone snatched as she was sitting in a jeepney. Someone reached through the window and grabbed it out of her hand. That was a gift which cost about $70 so it will be a long time before she gets another one. Malou is doing well as she is my source of (human) strength when I get down. She is very active in the Church and in her spare time washes clothes by hand with a scruboard, tends to the chores of the house and raises two great little girls. Please pray for my wife. She is such a blessing to me.

Laura is almost finished with her 2nd Grade studies and will soon be going into the third grade. She is five years old! She is doing so well and I am so proud of her. She and I discuss the scriptures she reads every morning. She is teaching me a lot! I will need to order her new materials. Although they are ‘free’ there is a $50 registration fee + shipping of the materials. If anyone would care to donate towards her education, please mark the memo of the check as such.

Linda is slowly being able to eat things she could not eat due to the allergies. Fried chicken with batter is okay now and she eats like a trooper. She is such a smart baby but I guess all parents say that about their children eh?

Please pray for our finances. In September we received only $310 for the month. October has been almost as bad. I know God will sustain us but it is still difficult to have to work like this. Pray that we are able to buy the food for the anniversary.

On Dec 8th, we along with a corporate sponsor, Proview Global Corp., will feed, have games, give presents and present the Gospel to 500 children in Payatas at the covered basketball court. Please pray for the success of that event and pray that we are able to afford to buy something that each child can keep or bring home for the family containing the gospel. Let us know if you have some CHEAP ideas.

We pray that you are all well and serving Him the way He would have you to serve Him. We also want you to know that we appreciate those who have been such a blessing to us. This ministry is your gold and silver and it will not burn!

By His Grace,

Feeding the 5000 Question: How does a ministry do so many things with such a small income? Answer: God Two weeks ago I get a text […]

Feeding the 5000

Question: How does a ministry do so many things with such a small income?

Answer: God

Two weeks ago I get a text from a Corporation called Proview Global in Ortigas, asking me if we would like their help in having a “Day of fun in Payatas” They wanted to give back to the community and thought a good place to do it was here. We agreed. We would get the place to have it and take care of the devotional end of it and they would do their thing. Their thing was to arrive with a bus of approximately 30 of their staff complete with food, games and gifts for the children. There was anywhere from 3-400 children. Some say there were more. A wonderful time was had by all and all received the Gospel message.

They have already asked if they can come again in December for “Christmas in Payatas”. They said they would provide food, and gifts for up to 500 children. God is so good.

Click here to see the photo’s

If that wasn’t enough, we will be sponsoring a medical mission at our Church on the 29th. Beside the clinic that we opened in Area “A”, we will be able to touch lives a little closer to our Church. We also are almost finished and are looking forward to the clinic opening in Banaba, San Mateo. Please pray as we are looking for a location close to our Church to open the next clinic. They open on a low budget and very rapidly become self-sustaining. If you know someone, who would like to sponsor a clinic, or as a group project, the cost is $1,700.00. We are able to share the Gospel with 50 – 80 people per day as well as offer them low cost drugs and free medical check-ups.

One of our supporters in Mira Mesa sent two Balikbayan boxes full of blessings and we were able to give them out to the children and adults. If anyone would like to send a Balikbayan box we can use, gently used clothes (No winter wear as there’s no winter here) toothpaste, brushes, shoes, flip flops, (plastic or rubber sandals) short pants for 3-10 year olds, you get the idea. We have a ton of children that are walking around in ripped clothes and sandals three sizes too big if not broken or taped together. Many of these children have rotten first teeth and toothpaste is not high on the priority list as food.

We were in need of more Bibles and we received notice from the Post Office that we had some packages. Not only did one organization send us Bibles, but TWO! Besides that, another company sent us about 5000 tracts just in time for the day of fun.

We had two ceiling fans donated as well as two chairs for my office by a friend of our Church.

The Church continues to grow and we ask you all to pray for our vision of the PBC Compound. We need the room so that we can minister to the thousands without Christ here.

Problems and solutions:
Our rent was increased $20 per month; we received word from our friends that they will start supporting us with $50 per month! As a Church, we believe that God is our only source of blessings. We work as if it depends on us and laugh when we receive because we know it’s from the Lord.

The first Sunday in November will be our anniversary of our Church. One person has already volunteered to buy the Lechon, all our members will be making pot luck. We will have an updated video of our year in review and we will pledge to go even further this year.

Each month I wonder if I can keep writing these updates. I imagine that I will run out of things to write. Yet God is so good and is using many people to obtain His purposes. Thank you all for being part of this ministry. Keep praying for us as we keep praying for you.

The medical clinic opened with a bang! I hope by now you were able to see the photos of our ribbon cutting ceremony. http://escobia225.multiply.com/photos (Although that part was somehow not captured on film I do believe you might see a scissor in my hand and perhaps a ribbon somewhere. Never-the-less, we opened and had over 60 patients come that day. The funny thing is, I never told anyone except our own people that we were opening so we would not be overwhelmed. Good thing!

Today as I write, I have just come back from our door knocking campaign where God met our goal and went over giving us in excess of 55 people! Praise Him. I told God that we normally have about 24 people door knocking and that unless he gives it to us, it wont happen. We had other Pastors come with a couple of their people to help us promote Jesus by way of tracts and invitation to the medical mission and were successful in flooding Area A with the gospel.

Last week we had a good time in the Lord as I taught the Romans Road to salvation. Our people are very active in sharing the word of God with others.

Our Mens and Ladies ministries each had their first meeting last week. The men had about six come out. We thought, why Lord? Yet three of the men had never come to Church before and so it was an opportunity to minister. It also was an opportunity to say to the leader that we do not control the outcome of anything. It is in the hand of our God. We propose but God disposes! Of course the ladies meeting went off without a hitch. I believe they had somewhere around twenty for their first meeting.

We have a prayer request of all of you. Please pray that God will give us a leader for the Sunday school and strengthen our teachers for the task. If we had the space and the staff we could have hundreds of children in our S.S. Also, our rent has been increased to 6,000peso per month. That is only $20 but it equates to $100. With the dollar getting weaker and the cost of transferring funds, it is getting harder to make those ends meet. So, please pray that all our supporters will be blessed in their finances and that we may gain some new supporters very quickly.

We are going out in search for a piece of land to build the vision. Mind you, we have no money but yet I believe it is only as we walk toward the goal that we will reach it. Standing here just looking does not bring us closer to it. Please pray that we always recognize the will of our God and react accordingly. How devastating to be outside of his will.

We had two of our Church children come down with the dengue virus. One little boy (Ugoy) was diagnosed 50-50. The little girl (Princess Diana) lay on her bed and looked like death. The prayers went up; and God looked, down and touched those children. Both are doing well, Praise God!

I failed to tell you the story of a man who was recovering from a stroke. He was called Bimbo and he visited our Church on a number of occasions. He received Jesus as his Lord and Savior at our prayer time. Two weeks later he went to be with the Lord. Although it was sad that he passed, he was such a nice gentle man, it is so wonderful that we can say, he went to be with the Lord. If it was only for that one soul that we came here, it was worth it, yet so many will be inheriting the Kingdom of Heaven because of your support of this ministry.

Its funny how God works. The last two months have been terrible for support money yet God has led some generous people to send random love gifts that compensated for our lost. I learn all the time that God is in control.

As I think back to the days trying to get to the field and how the devil tried to stop this ministry each time, I realize that God has always been in control and His will always prevail. Help me Lord to remember that each and every day.

God bless you as you follow His lead,
By His Grace,

Pastor Jack

A NEW YEAR, A NEW BEGINNING Last month made it a year that we have been here so it is a new year for us this […]

A NEW YEAR, A NEW BEGINNING

Last month made it a year that we have been here so it is a new year for us this month.

As I mentioned in an earlier update, I am president of a non-profit organization named Christservice Inc. It has been established to improve the way of life for impoverished Filipinos. GodsGrace Medical Assistance Inc, of which I am a board member, is also a non-profit organization created by the help of ChristService Inc.(CS) GodsGrace Medical Assistance Inc. (GGMA), was developed to provide medical assistance in the way of free medical examinations and low cost drugs for those who would otherwise go without treatment. Additionally, to be eligible to buy low cost drugs or to obtain the free exam, the patient or the parents of the patient, must undergo a counseling session in which they will receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Staff, mostly voluntary, are always ready to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.

Payatas Baptist Church has taken a major part in participation. At this time we are doing the necessary carpentry, painting, electrical, etc to get the office ready for business, In August when we open, we will be there for counseling and whatever else is needed.

This operation was funded by ChristService and plans on being a totally self-sustaining ministry within three months. Please pray that many souls can be led to our Lord through this great work.

Our first mens and womens fellowships will happen this month. On Aug. 18 & 19 respectively and on Aug 25th we are planning a major door knocking campaign. We are praying for 50 door knockers to show up!

We have started an English class and have over 25 people signed up. Malou has taught two classes already and everyone is having a great time learning English from 6 – 60 years old!

I imagine you have already seen the photos from the Medical Mission that we just held here in Payatas. We fed approximately 500 people and treated almost that much. See the details by going to http://www.payatasbaptistchurch.org and clicking on the Multiply site.

I know this is summertime and I would love to give a word to the Saints. Your Church does not close its doors when you go on vacation nor is it like a bus where you only pay when youre getting a ride.

Your Church is your home. It has all the same needs and perhaps more. If youre not giving to your Church on a regular basis, you are compared to someone who does not support their family.

Ask your Pastor what are the needs of the Church are, if you are not aware of them and then work together with the family of God to make your Church, the best it can be.

The success of the Payatas Church is because 1- Faith in Jesus Christ 2- Love for the Saints. That was what Paul bragged about the Ephesians and as long as we are not like them, forgetting our first love, we will do well in Him.

May God bless you as you draw close to Him.

Happy Anniversary!

Dear friends and supporters,
It is indeed a happy anniversary that we all share this month. It is one year since we left home and came to the Philippines.

In one years time we have had over 250 professions of faith! We had clothes distribution, toys for Christmas, Food distribution, Wonderful door knockers (at least 20 each week), Christian Camp, Vacation Bible Study; we rented our building and have almost completed all that is necessary for us to say it is finished! We have an adult choir and a teen choir. Our young people (teens-25 attended) a youth conference at another Church. A Men and a women’s fellowship is being created as I write. Three of our young people are receiving computer training for free which will train them for careers.

God has healed my sicknesses, He has blessed this ministry beyond belief and now we can all rejoice together because your prayers and gifts have been the building blocks for this ministry.

Yet this is just the beginning. We ask you to continue to pray for the PBC Compound Vision that God has given us. Pray that more missionaries will choose Payatas and come along side of us to lead the 212,000 people here to Christ. Pray that we are kept strong and the evil one is kept at bay.

I see a mountain this next year. It is a mountain of blessings. I believe God will give us that mountain and together we can claim victory in Payatas over the devil through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please continue your prayers for us as we pray for all of you.

By His Grace,

God called me to this ministry eight years ago this July. He brought me through many rough roads to get here. We were opposed by those who thought of themselves more than they were and tried to stop this ministry. We were the subject of gossip and God fearing men spreading these undocumented untruths. Many had said they would support us and gave us dates that we would receive that support but it never came nor did an explanation. Yet through it all God prevailed. Even now there will be those that will say I should not mention the hard parts yet I have Paul to look to as my example, when he opposed those that were acting unspiritual to their face. Yet through it all God has prevailed and has even managed to teach me to be patient!

For those of you who know me, I hope youre not choking or laughing too loudly at that remark.

God has given us wonderful supporters. People who really care about this ministry and we really care about theirs. We pray that God will bless you beyond belief this month of June, so you can know, your supporting us is from God.

Next month we will be here one year. This past May, we have been in our Church building, six months.
This is what has been going on:

In the time since we arrived, 220 people have professed Jesus as Lord and Savior.
We have overfilled our Church.
We literally need a larger building. Our childrens Sunday school and both evening services need rooms to split the children into three groups.
We could also use a fourth room for the teens.
We have just started plans for a choir, and a men and a ladies fellowship group.
We have an upcoming youth conference at San Mateo Baptist Church.
We (through a donator) sent 26 children and 3 adult supervisors to Summer Camp in Laguna where we had 9 professions of faith and added to our church membership.
We just finished up our first Vacation Bible School where we had 70 children, 4 cooks, and 13 teachers.
We had 37 professions of faith and have added to the Church.
We had 28 people out door knocking last week and the number keeps growing.
We are being blessed as a medical missions team from Bayonne, N.J. will be here July 4 & 5
We are able to send one of our members to four years of Bible College. Our artist and wonderful brother Mike, will be attending Asia Bible Baptist College with free tuition. We were informed that each Church is entitled to one free student! Praise God!

That was neither the years report nor the six month report. Most of that was just in the last month!

I always say, I have nothing to do with any of it except by standing, looking up, and asking my Father, What next Lord? It is like basking in the sun. We had nothing to do with creating it or causing it to be there but we can glory in its rays!

This is Gods ministry and strange as it may seem, He picked us to be here to watch Him work!

Our Needs: This is the section that we really wish did not have to be here but the truth is, it does. Missionaries work twice as many hours as many regular jobs with not enough income for half a job (maybe even a quarter) we came here by faith with about $600 a month support. That included Church and Home expenses. No room for medicine so God had to heal me to save 15,000 pesos a month! Yet God has never rained money like manna out of Heaven. He has always used others. Now we are up to almost $1000 per month.

Sooooooooo..

I am in a tight squeeze. Since the accident I had unforeseeable bills to pay. Not only that but we were blessed with being able to send our kids to camp for free but It cost me $100 to send them. (Jeepney and expenses) We got the vacation Bible School supplies for free but it cost me another $150 for traveling for volunteers from our neighbor church, food all week for kids and staff and misc, crafts. That along with $200 assorted expenses due to the accident brings it to a total of $450.00 in the hole. Every time these expenses arise, they come out of my familys living expenses. We are only too glad to do it but we are now down to nothing.

I know that doesnt seem a lot. Many pay 4-5x that for rent. But for us, it is disastrous. So being that you are our only source (so far through our Lord) for support. You are who we will ask to help.

It is very easy. You will see at the bottom of this web page a copy of a filled out deposit slip. If you go to Bank of America and fill it out the same way (except for the $ amount, that is how the Spirit leads) and hand it with the money to the teller, it will be done. Quick, easy, and painless. Even if it is only $5, it will be used! If you prefer, you can go to http://www.payatasbaptistchurch.org and click on donate to use a credit card.

Thank you for your continued support and love for this ministry. May God bless you as you are a blessing.

PS I have sent all of you a link to a site called Multiply where we have posted all of our photos for the Church. Please sign on and see for yourself the work that God has done here. If you accidentally deleted the link or have not received it, please email me and I will re-invite you.

Also, spread the news about this ministry, we have singular as well as Churches supporting us.
Tell others about what God is doing in Payatas!

Hi Everyone,

Here is our May update.

The blood dripped down my face as I very painfully was being helped to my feet.

I was disoriented as I heard a woman say to me, Do you want to go to the hospital. The pain was so bad that I quickly responded, Yes. What happened,? I asked as I was being helped into a car. You blacked out. We watched as you went to pass a truck and then saw another oncoming vehicle so you pulled back behind the truck. It seemed like you stopped the bike and fell over. And so, that is the account of a recent accident I survived by the grace of God. I now know always wear your helmet and drink plenty of fluids on hot days! Duh! I was fortunate to escape with bruised ribs, arm, leg and a cut on the head.

You wonder why God allows these things to happen and yet just two days later it happened to another Pastor friend of mine as he crashed into the back of a car after passing out.

I was a able to give a testimony at the hospital when they asked if I had diabetes and high blood pressure I got to tell them loud so everyone in the room could hear! (See our updates page at the site for that story)

What I did not realize was that the hospital would not work on me without payment first and the couple, who brought me to the hospital, paid my bill. I of course paid them back (which cut into the budget quite a bit) but these people stayed with me, retrieved my bike and made sure that I was ok. They spent a few hours with me even though they had to get ready for their sons party.

By the way, the bike is fine, I cushioned its fall! ?

Now you can see the plight of the Filipino in Payatas. My wife lost her father and sister because of not having money for medical treatment.

I belong to an Organization called Christservices, Inc. Our group seeks to help the plight of the Filipino while bringing them the good news of the Gospel. This is a brand new organization and our first project is to open up a health clinic. We will have a doctor on staff to give free check-ups and a pharmacy where we can supply medicine at half the cost of the commercial stores. Also, this will allow us to give jobs to our people who need them and to inform all who come to the Pharmacy about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Note: although Christservices may at times help our Church as well as others, funding for Christservices comes from sources outside of our Church.

The other day I was browsing the internet checking to see how our website was ranking when I ran across a Church site in New Jersey. They said they were going to Payatas on a medical mission in July. They also said they supported our Church. So I sent a letter to the Pastor and said that although I would love the support, I dont recall any. He explained that he went to Payatas in January and it touched his heart. He took on a couple of Pastors at that time and then he searched the internet for other Churches doing work in the area. When he saw our site he decided to take us on but the person who made the site put it on prior to our being told. Praise the Lord! God takes care of His people.

Btw, we have hit 48.7% of what we need to go to the Philippines! Isnt it great that God encouraged us to go even though we had no money to do it? To date, 162 people have been saved as well as all the good things that have been happening. I found out (after 54 years) that no matter what anyone says or does, no matter how much or how little you have, as long as you give God all the glory and work in faith towards the goal that He gives you, it will happen!

The childrens room is almost totally done in murals. As soon as it is finished we will get someone to take photos and post them.

By the way, we have a phone and answering machine in the office. The number is (632) 430-8177.

We have a retired Pastor who has been coming to our Church and Praise God, he plays the organ! God supplies all our needs!
The Church in N.J. that just took us on will be here on July 4th and 5th (in Payatas) for medical missions. They will have 40+ people as well as some Pastors and others from Manila. We look forward to working with them as they seek to help those in need in Payatas.

We also had someone sponsor 22 young people for summer camp! This is incredible as these children have so little, this will help them so much in their Christian walk.

Also we are planning our Vacation Bible School in May. We have set a limit of 77 children as space is in short supply. Please pray for our vision. (See www.payatasmissionoutreach.org and click on Proposed Plans)

May 6th is our membership Sunday. We will be signing our Church covenant and baptizing those who wish to follow Christ in the waters of baptism.

All in all it is a very exciting time for us here and those of you who have supported us, this is your moment as it is because of your obedience to our Lord that these things are happening. Yes, He can use anyone but we are so glad He has used you. You are always in our prayers.

May God Bless you as you continue to serve Him, Pastor Jack Wilson

PS: We still are in need of a camera. If you have one your not using, please send it to us! We also need $750 for a piano, flooring (linoleum) upstairs and down, $200 to construct our dirty kitchen, We are trying to finish this place because we believe as we are good stewards here, He will grant us the next place!

March & April must be the month of blessings because God has been so good to us. In my Church at sunday service we have testimonies […]

March & April must be the month of blessings because God has been so good to us.

In my Church at sunday service we have testimonies every week. I tell them to come up and tell us the wonderful things God has done in their lives as they continue to serve him. Every week we get a bunch of great testimonies. I also tell them to come up and tell us the trouble they are having for not faithfully following the Lord so we can all fear doing wrong! No one will admit to it! Now of course, not all trouble is because of our failure, but I believe that inside our hearts, we know when it is a test or just our fault!

Okay so we prayed for a motorcycle so that I can visit my church members in the nooks and crannies where they live and one of our good friends and supporters said to me. “As soon as my income tax refund comes in I will help you get the bike”. Well, the check came in and by help he meant sending me $1000 which covered the entire cost of a Honda 100cc Bravo and a helmet!

I remember patiently (or not so) waiting for my tax checks so I could catch up on a bill or buy something I really needed, yet this man, (who is not rich) decided to give it to the Lord. He is certainly an inspiration to me.

We needed a bookcase and another good friend and supporter had one made for us! He is another faithful partner with us.

Another generous donor has paid for 20 Tagalog Bibles to be shipped to our Church. We were really in need of Tagalog Bibles.

One of our Churches has begun to collect used clothing. They will do that for three months and then ship them for us to distribute. If anyone would like to join in this worthy endeavor, please, feel free! How wonderful to clothe those who really need it.

All the kitchen ware, refrigerator, stove, gas tank will be coming this week as my mother in law moved to the U.S. and gave it to us. My office now has the carpet and the wall finished. There is some more to do but God will provide.

My sis-in-law bought a lot of incidentals for the house including a new refrigerator and she gave my wife a new cell phone. Malou’s number is: (63) 928-604-3007. My sis-in-law also gave a lot of used clothes which we were able to distribute to our Church. On top of all that, she treated me to a Sushi dinner! She also rented a bus and took 70 people to Subic bay and I have to tell you about the miracle that happened to me there.

I jumped in the water and was swimming around. I was out about two hundred feet when I realized my glasses had come off. All around me was water. There was no way I was to find them. As I was heading back to the shore I said to God, “You know I’ll never find these glasses without your grace” and as I said grace, I looked down and they were right at my feet! God even cares about the little things that are important to us! Praise Him!

The Church is growing, people are being saved, more and more door knockers are coming out!

Please pray for us as April 9th we are showing a movie about the life of Jesus – His birth, sufferings, ministry, death and ressurection. We are holding it in a covered basketball court which will seat about 1000+. Pray that we have plenty of counsellors and that ALL will come to repentence! Yes, we aim high because our Lord is without boundry.

Also, this ressurection Sunday will be our first communion. May 8th will be membership Sunday where we will officially admit saved, baptized people into the membership. We will also be baptizing that day so pray I can find a plastic tank or I’ll have to use a cheap swimming pool.

Linda is past walking and almost running. Laura started her A.C.E. studies with mama. I am feeling terrific! Malou is such a blessing as she is such a supportive partner in all our work. (And she’s cute too!)

We pray for all of you that your borders will increase, that your joy will be full and that peace will reign in your lives as you are faithful to Him.

God bless you all and thanks for being our very good friends in Christ!

Pastor Jack Wilson

Pray- I saw a brand new piano for 35000 pesos =$700 We also need funds to build the dirty kitchen and cover the floors. www.payatasbaptistchurch.org

Good news! The hard drive has been replaced due to the generosity of our supporters! Also, we can scratch off refrigerator, stove, gas tank, microphone and speaker, kitchen ware as my mother-in law will be donating her items to the church as she will be going to America.

We also received funds for an organ. It is just a $30 cheap organ but it works and Malou can practice on it until we have funds for a used piano.

God is good. We received a couple more balikbayan boxes from a sister in the Mira Mesa Church and it was filled with everything we needed. During Christmas we hardly received any children’s clothes but these boxes had plenty. It’s great to see that the day after we gave them out, our church kids came to church showing off their “new” clothes. They were so happy.

Pastor Deo Pagadura (Samar, Philippines- www.scripturebaptistChurch.org ) visited us and went door knocking two saturdays ago. My wife and Laura walked into the Barangay jail and asked if she could talk to the prisoners, they let her and after a while she called for Pastor Deo and he came in and led seven men to the Lord with tears!

Since the last report there have been 34 people saved and the Church keeps growing!

One day I went outside the house and I here Laura speaking to the girl next door…IN TAGALOG! It’s incredible. she was just chatting away. Linda is advancing also as she is now walking all over the place. She takes a few steps and grabs hold of something but she is getting around great.

Please don’t forget our vision to pray for it daily: payatasmissionoutreach.com/proposed_plans.htm (Also click on the scroll box to see our wish list and our church needs.

Pray for us as we continue to pray for all of you.
