July 2, 2009What does God say about leaving your family to work in another Country?
I like to understand the Bible by asking for Gods revelation of course but I also believe it to be a common sense type of book.
Thou shalt not kill. If a lion is about to attack you and you have a gun, you should kill it because common sense tells us that thou shalt not kill does not apply to that particular situation. It means thou shalt not kill out of hatred or anger or robbery or jealousy Common sense.
So, how can we know that God does not want us to leave our families to go overseas?
The Bible says.. By the way, you will notice I always say the Bible says because that is the only thing we have on which we base our rules for living. The Bible says:
1Co 7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
Simply put it means not to hold your intimate relation from your spouse except for a short time in the case of prayer and fasting. However, if you go away for five, months or one year or three years you are doing the opposite of what the Bible commands.
You may say, well how about the millions of people oversees now trying to support their families? My Answer, they are wrong.
How about the millions that laughed at Noah? They were wrong.
You either accept the word of God or you dont.
Dont you believe that God can provide for His people?
Faith begins with that first step and if the fear of starving sends you to another Country, at least bring your family.
Abraham went down to Egypt as his fear of the famine overtook Him. The result was sin, sin and more sin.
Imagine what would have happened if Abraham would have stayed on the plan that God had given to him? Perhaps he never would have slept with Hagar and perhaps the people of Israel would not have such formidable opponents.
God promises us food and clothing.
Luk 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Luk 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
Luk 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
Luk 12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luk 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Luk 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Luk 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luk 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
I could go on forever but the scripture will speak for itself.
Be of good faith and stand strong and walk in His paths and you will be filled.
