JULY 2025 UPDATE
June 30, 2025![]() | TWOWEEKSTO GOHOME! |
I didn’t come here for a vacation, but I can honestly say I’ve had a wonderful time. Spending three months with my dear friends, the Sharpes, who graciously opened their home to me, was such a blessing. I also loved reconnecting with our Church family—it was deeply refreshing. We were able to visit some supporters and friends of our ministry.
The natural beauty here is truly stunning. Even with the political climate, California has a charm that’s hard to ignore. And the food? A delightful change from what I usually enjoy in the Philippines.
Still, California doesn’t hold what matters most: my children, my Church, and the ministry I’m passionate about. I’m eager to return to them, filled with gratitude for this meaningful chapter.
My Girls
I had a short but wonderful reunion with my oldest two daughters, Jennifer and Kelly. They flew in to see me from Colorado and New York, respectively.
It has been years and, sadly, it was over too soon.
Although I will be happy to return and see my youngest two, Laura and Linda.

Linda has just started her 2nd year at Bob Jones Memorial Bible college and is doing very well. She is now living at the dorm. Although I miss her being around all the time, it is a long haul from school to home. It doesn’t give her much time for homework. I will see her on weekends and Wednesdays for Church. Right now, Laura is at home having graduated.
Our Students
My nephew and substitute Preacher, Nickie Plaza, has just graduated college and may be looking to the air force to learn to fly planes.
Jessa and Rosalyn are in their final year as a Mathemetician and a Mechanical Engineer respectively.
Kyle is on his last few months working on a freighter and after that he will work as a seaman.
Others are nearing the college stage.
Many thanks to those who unselfishly give so that these young people will have profitable careers.
Of course all of our elementery and high school students are dong very well also.
Box Ministry
Boxes keep coming into the Church with clothes and odds and ends and plenty of food that we can use in our pantry.
We can use that food for members when they need it and also for feeding the childen. It’s a blessing.
California Ministry
Even though we came her for my operation, God had His own plans. I was able to preach at a couple of Churches and share the Gospel with some along with counseling.
Malou volunteers at a local Church where she gives out food to those who have need. She also attends a ladies
Bible Study and shares the word with others.
Malou and I want to thank all who have helped us to get here, to get my operation and all who helped us while here.
The biggest shock was to see a $50 breakfast and a $100 tank of gas. For all you living in California we are praying for better leadership and to get those prices down. I don’t know how you do it.
Once again, God bless you all. The next time you hear from me will be after August 11 when
we leave to go home.
