The seventh year is an
exciting Biblical event. Of all of them I best relate it to God making
the world in seven days and resting on the seventh.
There has been much fact and fiction as well as unknown
stories about the number seven but I am excited to think this could be
our best year yet.
Looking at it logically you would have to deduce that statement is far from the truth.
Let’s see. In the sixth year we were told we had to move
out of our location. We have no money and no where to go. In the sixth
year our water was cut off. In the sixth year it was the first time our
children could not attend school for lack of funds. (We have $150
towards the $500 needed but it stopped there)
People we thought would be there for us were never heard from.
In the sixth year giving is down. People have stopped
giving because I do not believe in this world’s way of doing things.
there are so many other things to make this easily the worst year ever.
On the other hand — We have supporters who have been so
very faithful month after every month realizing that their support makes
a difference. These are the ones on which I pray such a mighty blessing
of God .
I am comforted by these versus:
1Ki 18:43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward
the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he
said, Go again seven times.
1Ki 18:44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he
said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s
hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get
thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
During the time of Elijah’s
drought, everyone looked for an end. Elijah told his servant, “Go look”
and the servant reported back with nothing. Elijah told him do it seven
times and finally he came back with the report, “Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand.”
Sometimes the rewards of God
look like a small thing in the distance but it is no small thing at all.
It is the hand of God approaching with power and might.
I see it also. It is small and if we are not careful we
might ignore it but it is the power of God coming to deliver us.
There are also stories of men who started with nothing and
became centers of God’s work. We pray for that end here in Payatas.
Our prayer is simple, Please Lord expand our borders that
we may bring the word of God all over this place and beyond. Please pray
for us also.
