PAYATAS BAPTIST CHURCH & PAYATAS
MISSION OUTREACH
20th Anniversary of Payatas Baptist Church!
Over the past twenty years, God has been so good to us. We have shared the Gospel with thousands of people, watched children grow into adulthood, celebrated college graduations, and helped prepare young people for their futures. Looking back, we are grateful for all that the Lord has done and excited for what He will continue to do in the years ahead.
None of this would have been possible without the faithfulness of our supporters and the grace of God. Thank you for being part of this ministry.
A New Communion Schedule
We changed the worship service to include the Lord’s supper every Sunday.
It seems according to the verse (below) the Apostles observed every Sunday.
Acts 20:7 (KJV)
Act_20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
This passage reminded us of something important. The most important part of worship is not the sermon, the music, or even the fellowship. Those things all have value, but our greatest focus must be on remembering Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for us on the cross.
Each week, Communion helps us keep our eyes on the Savior who gave His life for our redemption.
And don’t worry, I won’t be preaching until midnight!
Special Visitors
The Kruegers
We were blessed to welcome Franc and Meileen Krueger, along with Meileen’s parents and sister, for a visit to Payatas.
It is always encouraging when supporters can see the ministry firsthand. We enjoyed wonderful fellowship together and were blessed to spend time with dear friends who have faithfully supported this work.
