| When we hear the words the End is Near. I guess we picture an old man carrying a sign that says that. Or perhaps a doomsday vision. But this is a good ending. Well, not really an ending but an end to phase1 of our PBC plan. In less than one year, we will complete our goal of raising some students through good colleges and into fine careers. We started 19 years ago and, along with a good Bible background and our help teaching them academics, they made it into colleges. By the middle of next year we will have 6 students graduating, two already graduated and four more on the way. It is hard enough to put your own children through college, but with all your help we were able to do it to these. When they get careers, they will help others coming up to get into college.  Our 19th Anniversary will be celebrated this Sunday. Our theme is, The End is Near. Our verse is Philippians 3:14 Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. OUR IN-HOUSE CARPENTERS Right now our students are on Semester break. Instead of goofing off, they decided on their own to construct new benches for our Church. The old ones were simple and run down. These are going to be upholstered. We canvassed to see how much one bench would cost. The guy wanted $200. Well, we didn’t have that, so the gang decided to make them at a cost of $40. each.   |
| Box Ministry Many thanks to those of you all over the world who have sent boxes of clothes, toys, can goods and other items. Your gifts help our people as well as many in the community and every time we give these items out, there is a gospel message that goes with them: Thanks for being part of this ministry.Our Needs This is a different day and age. When I was a kid all I needed was a pencil and a notebook. Today they need tablets. If any of you are so inclined, or you have one that you are not using, it will be put to good use. I have given three of them, but my Social Security isn’t enough to carry the costs.    Thanks to all of you who pray and/or give to this ministry. You make a difference. |
