IS JESUS GOD?

IS JESUS GOD?

1-Who created the earth?

GOD——-Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. —-GOD=Elohym=plural more than duo

HOLY SPIRIT———Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.——–

“Moved” Hebrew translation=”broods” as a hen causing her eggs to hatch

JESUS———-Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: ——-Weren’t they created by God and for God? Yes, Jesus is God.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth——–

Jesus, who is also God, was made flesh and dwelt among us

GOD SHARES HIS GLORY WITH NO ONE (BUT HIMSELF)

Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. We see here that God shares His glory with no one yet Jesus is seen many times getting the Glory-here is just one example:

2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

IS JESUS FOUND IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?

Jesus is very active in the old testament. Besides being found in the places that indicate the plurality of God, He is also known as THE ANGEL OF THE LORD

IN Gen 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spoke unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

She (HAGAR) saw the God who saw her. This God also promised to multiply her seed, something an angel could not do.

In Exo 3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

Exo 3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

Exo 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

Exo 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

Exo 3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

Here again we see it was the “Angel of the Lord” that appearer to him in the fire. Then it said God called him from the bush. Verse 3:6 God explains exactly who he is to clarify. Finally we were shown that Moses was afraid to look upon God.

Also in Genesis when Abraham was going to sacrifice his son, it was Jesus, THE ANGEL OF THE LORD that stopped him from harming the boy.

Gen 22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

Gen 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.——FROM ME- Abraham was giving an offering to God-Jesus calls out to Him acknowledging Abraham’s willingness to offer his son to Him (Jesus) GOD

Is there evidence of a Trinity?

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ——There is none other conclusion to draw except for the oneness and equality of these three. No one ever said to baptize in the name of the Father, Moses and Peter. You would not put God on an equal footing with man but God is always equal to Himself.

Other evidences would be the “Let us” verses- Gen 1:26 Let us make man in our image. If God created man, who was He speaking to? He is saying here Let us create man in our image.

Gen 11:7 Let us go down and confound their language

Gen 11:8 So the LORD SCATTERED 11:9 The LORD CONFOUNDED——again if “US” is going to confound and it says the “LORD” confounded than the only conclusion is us is the Lord.

The most famous verse: 1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Many will try to twist this verse into something it is not but look at it. It is simply as it says-the three are one.

Why is Jesus called the SON OF GOD?

Because he is. The Angels were made by God. People were made by God. When people get saved they are “adopted” Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the “adoption of sons.”

But who was “Begotten”—Jesus— Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

This was the “man” part of JESUS. Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Mary was not the mother of God; she was the mother of Jesus the man.

Jesus the man was begotten just like our children were begotten. He was fully man because of Mary, yet fully God because God the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary.

Finally, Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

God is omnipresent—He is everywhere, this verse describes God being with us in the flesh, Jesus. My Lord, My Savior, My GOD!
